“I think that Thranduil has the hardest decision of everybody in terms of fighting. Fighting for Thranduil is committing his troops and unlike the other characters who are mortal who don’t die in this battle will die of old age at some point. Thranduil and the Elves are immortal, however if they get an Orc’s sword through them they’re going to die like anyone else. So for someone who is basically committing the lives of Elves who would otherwise live forever more committing them surely to death is a decision more difficult.” — Peter Jackson If you still think Thranduil is a heartless asshole remember that the fact he was fighting at the Lonely Mountain in the first place was because he wanted his dead wife’s necklace back because he loved her so much and wanted something to remember her. Basically he’s fighting for love so yeah. — Philippa Boyens |
а теперь о серьезном
Все это время я только хотел, чтобы все поняли, насколько больно было Трандуилу. Потому что когда его считают сволочью, мне становится ужасно грустно.
